Terry Ogden - Always a handshake and a smile

In the Desert Explorers we have attracted jokesters, shouters, and planners, workers, ravers, leaders, followers, folks of every stripe. Terry was one of the quiet folks, who was a pleasure to know and travel with, always ready to help out at a DE meeting, enjoying the outings and bringing a smile and a good word at every turn. Just a very good guy. He passed recently and we miss him.

He and his wife Eileen were long-time supporters of the Desert Explorers, joining around 2000 or so. His time with us was very much like a gentle breeze, welcome, understated and remembered fondly after it has passed.

His memorial was held Saturday, June 7th, 2025 at Emmanuel Faith Community Church, 639 E 17th Avenue in Escondido.
