Julie & ‘Mister Bill’ Smith News from South Carolina
Greetings from South Carolina. We are settled into our new home in Honea Path, SC and have been visiting our daughter Sarah and her husband Jason and his family who live about an hour away in Clinton, SC. We have begun exploring our area which is in the northwest corner of South Carolina also known as ‘The Upstate’. Lots of forested areas, farms, small towns, historic sites, rivers, lakes, nice state parks, and friendly folks. We have been to the town of Ninety-Six which had early colonial settlements and a battlefield from the Revolutionary War. It has a few trails with signs describing story of the settlements and battle. We also went to Walnut Grove Plantation where they had a Tribute to the Soldier for Memorial Day with volunteers portraying soldiers from the Revolutionary War until present. Looking to explore the local lakes and rivers for day trips and camping with our RV. There are lots of Jeeps around here so will have to try to tag along and see the kind of off-roading they get into. We miss you all and wish you a super summer of exploring!
All Our Best!
