We bought a Satellite Phone for use where conventional telephone and cell-phone service is unavailable. To avoid arguments about when, where, and who can use this phone on trips, we conjured up a Satellite Telephone Policy.

One of the more noteworthy events of 2003 was the rescue of the Johns from a fate worse than death, maybe (for Marian), and just plain death (for Neal). Read Marian's story first. The move was reasonably uneventful, all things considered. We also deleted stuff from this page which is no longer appropriate. The Webdude has CD's with all the old files, if anybody is upset and wants a copy. (April 15)
